Key dates

The Amazon holiday calendar, 2026.

Official dates only, each linked to Amazon. Last checked November 1, 2026; the status on each date updates to your own date.

Amazon has not yet published its 2026 Black Friday Week start date, so we don't list one. Dates are for Amazon.com (US).

The checklist

41 things to check before the peak.

Tasks marked with a source follow Amazon's own guidance; the rest are the checks our team runs for brands every Q4.

1. Inventory and FBA inbound

Amazon's inbound arrival dates for Black Friday Week and Cyber Monday have passed (AWD Oct 14; FBA Oct 21 and Oct 28). Inventory that arrives later isn't guaranteed to be received in time, so the job now is to work with what is already in the network.

2. Holiday, Prime and BFCM deals

Amazon extended deal sourcing for Black Friday and Cyber Monday to November 13, 2026. Amazon has not yet published the 2026 Black Friday Week start date, so build your plan around Black Friday (Nov 27) and Cyber Monday (Nov 30) and watch Seller Central for the event window.

3. Ad budget and bid planning

Amazon Ads splits the season into build (October), peak (November through Cyber Monday) and extend (December and beyond). We're in peak now.

4. Listings and A+ content

Holiday traffic converts on the listing, not the ad. Fix listing problems before you pay for the clicks.

5. Holiday returns window

Amazon extended its standard 30-day return window: items bought November 1 to December 31, 2026 can be returned until January 31, 2027 (Apple brand products until January 15, 2027). It applies automatically to FBA and FBM, and Amazon says the policy will apply every year.

6. Stock-out protection

Running out in December costs more than the lost sales: ads stop converting and listings lose momentum heading into January.

7. January planning

January is when you learn whether Q4 made money. Plan it now while the data is fresh.
