Buy Box (Featured Offer)

The Buy Box is the common name for the Offer Display on an Amazon product detail page: the area near the top that holds one or more Featured Offers with Buy Now and Add to Cart buttons. When several sellers offer the same product, Amazon features the most competitive offers there; other offers sit in the “Other sellers on Amazon” widget below.

Why it matters for CPG brands

The Featured Offer is the one a shopper can buy in a single tap, so a brand wants its own offer featured to keep the sale it earned through ads and content. Amazon says offers with fast, free shipping are more likely to be featured, as are offers with more certain delivery dates. That ties stock and fulfilment directly to sales, not only to logistics.

Example

A brand's own offer runs out of stock in one region and a reseller's offer is featured instead. Restocking and keeping delivery fast is the fix. That is why stock and fulfilment sit next to ads and listings in a marketplace dashboard such as XENA 360.
