Share of voice in AI search

Share of voice in AI search is the share of AI-generated answers, across a tracked set of buyer questions, in which your brand or product is named, compared with the competitors named in the same answers. SearchPanel counts it across the tracked prompt set rather than estimating it from search volume.

Why it matters for CPG brands

In a classic results page several brands can appear on page one. In an AI answer there may be room for three or four names. Share of voice shows how much of that small space you hold, who holds the rest, and which sources those rivals' answers cite.

Example

A brand tracks 50 questions about electrolyte powders. If it's named in 12 of the answers and its biggest rival in 30, the rival owns far more of the conversation. SearchPanel also shows the cited sources where the rival appears and the brand does not, which points to the pages and listings worth improving.
